I'm a single parent and my son Nathan, born in 2019, is in my care half the time through a 50/50 custody arrangement. Since my mother passed away and my father is getting too old to look after him, I'll need a babysitter, but only occasionally and on a sporadic basis. Nathan loves playing ball games in the family room and video games. At my place, we stick to a maximum of 1 hour and 30 minutes of screen time on days off. He has a set bedtime and follows a consistent bedtime routine. I also encourage him to practice reading and writing, and I work on building his math skills and emotional regulation. Nathan is a bit shy at first and may need some time to warm up to people. But once he feels comfortable with someone, his heart truly opens up and wonderful things come out. I'm looking for an occasional babysitter who will take the time to get to know him and respect the habits we've established.
