Purpose of the Platform
SOS-Nounou (accessible at www.sos-nounou.com) is a free matchmaking service connecting families in Quebec looking for a babysitter with individuals offering in-home childcare services. The site also includes a daycare directory.
By creating an account or using the site, you accept these terms of use. If you do not accept these terms, you must not use the service.
Registration and Account
Who can register
Any individual residing in Quebec can create an account on SOS-Nounou, provided they supply accurate and complete information.
Persons under 14 cannot create an account without parental consent, in accordance with Quebec's Law 25. Persons aged 14 to 17 may create a babysitter account with parental consent.
Account types
Family account: allows you to search for babysitters, view their profiles and contact them.
Babysitter account: allows you to create a profile visible to families, indicate your availability, rate and experience.
Account security
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential. If you suspect unauthorized access, contact us at contact@sos-nounou.com.
Use of the Service
Free of charge
Account creation, profile viewing and matchmaking are entirely free. SOS-Nounou does not take any commission on childcare services.
Role of SOS-Nounou
SOS-Nounou acts solely as an intermediary. The platform facilitates first contact between families and babysitters. Negotiation of childcare terms is exclusively between the two parties.
What SOS-Nounou does not guarantee
SOS-Nounou does not verify the identity, qualifications, criminal records or claims of users. Parents are solely responsible for any verifications they deem necessary.
User Responsibilities
Families
You commit to checking references and experience of any babysitter before entrusting them with your children. You provide the babysitter with all information necessary for the child's safety (allergies, medications, emergency numbers).
Babysitters
You commit to providing truthful information, following parents' instructions and ensuring the safety of children in your care. You operate independently. SOS-Nounou is not your employer.
Prohibited Content and Conduct
Users must not publish false, misleading, offensive or discriminatory content, use the service for commercial purposes unrelated to childcare, collect personal data for unauthorized purposes, or disrupt site operations.
SOS-Nounou reserves the right to remove any content that violates these rules and to suspend or delete the account of any user in violation.
Account Deletion
You can delete your account at any time from your profile or by writing to contact@sos-nounou.com. Deletion results in the removal of your information within 30 days.
Limitation of Liability
SOS-Nounou cannot be held liable for user actions, any damage resulting from the use of the service, any dispute between a family and a babysitter, or service interruptions. The service is provided "as is".
Applicable Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Quebec and Canada. Any dispute shall be submitted to the competent courts of the judicial district of Quebec City.
